One of the best museums in Athens is the Hellenic Motor Museum. It is owned by the Theodore Charagionis Foundation and opened in March 2011. The museum’s collection consists of 300 cars, ranging from the early 1900s to the present day.
The museum is situated in central Athens near the National Archaeological Museum. It is on the three top floors of the Athenian Capitol shopping mall. The museum offers many other facilities such as a Formula 1 simulator, a road safety education programme and an amphitheatre.
With a choice of around 300 cars, this museum is a must-see for car enthusiasts, but even those who are not experts will find it fascinating. The collection includes classic cars, racing cars and even some celebrity cars.Â
